Festival honouring Dolly Parton set for Nashville and London

Dolly Parton’s estate has announced an upcoming two-day festival, DollyFest, to honor the life and legacy of the late singer. The event will take place across London and Nashville over two consecutive weekends in 2027, with specific dates yet to be announced. Parton herself envisioned a similar event, but the original plan was cancelled in January 2026 due to health issues, and her estate opted for a private family funeral instead.

DollyFest will replace the traditional memorial, as the artist did not want one. Danny Nozell, the festival organizer, stated that the estate encourages natural tributes but believes DollyFest is a fitting tribute to Dolly's wishes. Parton, a country music icon and philanthropist, had a successful seven-decade career, winning 10 Grammy awards and selling over 100 million records worldwide. Her most famous songs include Coat of Many Colors, Jolene, and I Will Always Love You.
