2026 World Congress: It's God's grace for Ghana to host the global congress - Rev Wengam

Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, has urged members of his church to work diligently towards the successful hosting of the 10th Triennial Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship in Ghana. The congress, set to take place from October 14 to 16, 2026, will see approximately 10,000 participants from Assemblies of God churches worldwide. This marks the first time Ghana will host the congress in the 110-year history of the Assemblies of God Fellowship.

The event, which will be held at the Independence Square and the Accra Sports Stadium, will feature daytime seminars, workshops, and working sessions, as well as free-of-charge evening revival rallies. Rev. Wengam emphasized that while the spiritual value of the revival rallies cannot be quantified, their participation is crucial in demonstrating appreciation for the honor of hosting the global event.

He encouraged active participation from all church members, including pastors, leaders, and members, to ensure Ghana's hosting of the congress is memorable and spiritually impactful.

The congress theme, "Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation," is based on Matthew 28:18–20, and will provide an opportunity to strategize towards achieving the MM33 vision of planting one million churches by 2033. Rev. Wengam highlighted that the congress would not only glorify God but also strengthen Assemblies of God worldwide, serving as a platform for advancing the spiritual mission of the church.
