2026 World Congress: It's God's grace for Ghana to host the global congress - Rev Wengam

On Sunday, August 30, 2026, Rev Stephen Yenusom Wengam, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, launched the 10th Triennial Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship at the Cedar Mountain Chapel in Accra. This global event, set to take place from October 14 to 16, 2026, is being held for the first time in Ghana and will gather approximately 10,000 pastors, ministers, and church leaders from Assemblies of God churches worldwide.

Rev Wengam emphasized the importance of the congress, calling it a demonstration of God's grace and an honor for Assemblies of God, Ghana. He noted that the congress would not only glorify God but also revitalise and strengthen the global Assemblies of God. The main activities would be held at the Independence Square and the Accra Sports Stadium, with a fee of GH¢100 for daytime sessions at the Independence Square and free entry for evening revival rallies at the Accra Sports Stadium. Rev Wengam stressed that the spiritual value of the revival rallies could not be measured in money.

The congress, themed "Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation," is based on Matthew 28:18-20 and will feature seminars, workshops, and working sessions during the day, and revival rallies at the Accra Sports Stadium in the evening. Rev Wengam urged church members to actively participate in the revival rallies, describing their presence as a significant show of appreciation for hosting the global event.

He also highlighted the congress's potential to advance the spiritual mission of Assemblies of God worldwide, as it would provide an opportunity to strategize towards achieving the MM33 vision of planting one million churches by 2033. Rev Wengam encouraged the church to move towards the highest spiritual gear in fulfilling this vision.
