Richarlison, Danso and Sarr ask to leave Spurs

Three Tottenham players – Richarlison, Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr – have requested to leave the club, according to head coach Roberto de Zerbi. De Zerbi revealed that none of the players were part of his matchday squad for Tottenham's recent 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. When questioned about their status following the loss, De Zerbi stated, "Richarlison, I don’t know.

He said too many times he wants to leave. Danso came to me two days ago and he said wants to leave and Pape Sarr the same, but he suffered a small injury, but he is almost ready to train." De Zerbi emphasized that if the trio indeed wishes to depart, they must find a financial solution with the club to make it happen. Despite spending over £300m this summer to improve their competitive standing after two disappointing 17th-place finishes in the Premier League, Tottenham currently sits at the bottom of the table after two consecutive losses and failing to score a goal.

Richarlison, who was Tottenham's top scorer last season and a crucial figure during their fight for Premier League survival, was Manchester City's leading striker in August when he joined them on loan. Kevin Danso's starting opportunities may be limited this season as new defenders Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke challenge for his position.

Sunderland had made an offer for Danso on loan, but Tottenham declined it. In midfield, Pape Sarr's playing time has been affected by the arrival of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, who Tottenham broke their transfer record to sign twice in the same week.
