IPACON 2026 brings over 400 experts together to focus on preventing diabetic foot amputations

The Indian Podiatry Association (IPA) kicked off their annual congress, IPACON 2026, in Moinabad on Saturday, convening over 400 healthcare professionals to discuss strategies for preventing diabetic foot amputations. The two-day event, themed 'Redefining Diabetic Foot Care Through Prevention, Preservation and Regeneration', saw the participation of more than 50 faculty members presenting in 30 sessions.

Topics ranged from diabetic foot reconstruction and revascularisation to regenerative wound healing, biological therapies, and advanced wound care. Hands-on workshops were also held to help translate theoretical knowledge into practical applications, including advanced wound-healing techniques, total contact casting, debridement, wound-care management, and vascular procedures.
