Nepal floods: Morgues overflow, bodies decompose as Indians remain missing

Nepal is grappling with a severe flood crisis that has claimed over 2,426 lives and left 3,700+ people rescued so far. The overflowing morgues are struggling to accommodate the increasing number of bodies, with authorities facing challenges in identifying and storing the remains before decomposition becomes an issue. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that bodies recovered from Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts have been found far downstream in Chitwan, Tanahun, and Nawalparasi.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has reported that 320 Indian nationals remain uncontactable after the disaster, with many of them stranded on the Chinese side of the border. Nepal's Foreign Ministry has recorded 167 Indians missing in Nepal only, highlighting the discrepancy between the two figures.
