Desa ParkCity deaths: Post-mortems show two children were stabbed in the neck, mother suffered sharp-force wounds, says KL police chief

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 29 — Post-mortem examinations have confirmed that two children and their parents were killed by stab wounds to the neck at a Desa ParkCity home, according to Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus. The mother died from sharp-force trauma to the neck and chest. The findings provide clarity on how the family members met their deaths, as police investigate potential links to a suspected love scam and RM260,000 in debts.

The post-mortem on the daughter was conducted at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, while the mother's and son's were carried out at the same facility. Police are awaiting the results of the father's post-mortem, which is scheduled to begin today. Forensic personnel from HKL and the Royal Malaysia Police are at the scene for further examinations.

The police are investigating allegations of a love scam and debts totaling RM260,000. It is believed that the wife was ensnared in an illegal investment scheme, and investigators are exploring whether shame and pressure over the debt may have motivated the man to kill his family before taking his own life.
