Tottenham sign Man City’s Marmoush on loan

Tottenham has signed Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush on loan until the end of the season, with a potential permanent transfer for £60 million next summer. The 27-year-old Egypt international will join fellow City teammate Savio at Tottenham, following the Brazilian's initial £75 million transfer to north London. Marmoush expressed his excitement about joining "one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world," highlighting his positive rapport with head coach Roberto de Zerbi.

Marmoush, who joined City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59 million in January 2025, has netted 16 goals in 62 games for the club. After a promising start at City, Marmoush has predominantly played as a substitute, featuring in 13 of his 21 league appearances last season due to Erling Haaland's position as the preferred striker. Marmoush saw action as a late substitute in City's Community Shield loss to Arsenal and was an unused substitute in their Premier League win over Bournemouth last Sunday. The Spurs have invested over £312 million in transfers this summer.
