‘We cannot just sit at home’: Ranchi family plans Nepal trip to find missing man

The Ghosh family has endured a harrowing 24 hours since not hearing from Ramprasad Ghosh, a 41-year-old Ranchi man now among 288 people missing in Nepal following flash floods triggered by an earthquake and avalanche. According to Ramprasad's sister-in-law, there has been no communication or information regarding his whereabouts since last Tuesday.

The 288 Indian nationals missing in Nepal include 73 working at the Trishuli One hydroelectric site when the disaster struck. Ramprasad, who has been employed there since last year, remains unaccounted for. His family, comprising Ramprasad's father Ranjit Kumar Ghosh, his older brother, and his brother's family, has been in contact with the Jharkhand migrant workers' cell and the Indian Embassy, seeking updates on Ramprasad's situation.

Shikha Lakra, head of the migrant workers' control room, confirmed they had not received any information on Ramprasad's location. The family, however, is determined to find him, planning to travel to Nepal the following day. They expressed their determination, stating, "We cannot just sit at home. We will leave tomorrow and see what we can do there. We will go and find him."
