Zayed National Museum to hold long weekend programme to mark Emirati Women's Day

The Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi is set to host a three-day long weekend programme in celebration of Emirati Women's Day, from Friday. This cultural hub at Saadiyat Island will showcase the significant contributions of Emirati women to the UAE's progress. Throughout the weekend, visitors can engage in a variety of activities led by Emirati artists.

These include a workshop called "Between the Past and Present," which introduces participants to traditional Talli and Khous handicrafts. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a cooking demonstration by chef Abeer Allouz, who will guide them through making date-based treats inspired by Emirati flavors.

Another highlight of the programme is the opportunity to create a signature perfume using a blend of Emirati and international scents, while customizing the bottle with a personal label. Live musical performances will also be featured throughout the three days, celebrating the achievements of Emirati women. Emirati Women's Day, observed on August 28 each year, highlights the pivotal role women have played in the nation's development since the UAE's establishment in 1971.

This year's programme, titled "We Emerge Stronger and Better," will run for an entire month, showcasing the success stories of Emirati women and recognizing their vital role in shaping the nation's future.
