Sánchez solicita comparecer en el Pleno del Congreso el 9 de septiembre por la crisis en Ceuta

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has requested to appear before the full Congress on September 9th to report on the government's handling of the situation in Ceuta since July 30th, government sources reported. This request was made shortly after the Permanent Delegation of Congress debated the People's Party's proposal for Sánchez to be urgently called to appear in plenary to provide explanations about the Ceuta migration crisis.

The party also demands that ten other ministers, including the eight already scheduled to provide explanations in committee in the lower House, be summoned. Elma Saiz, the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migrations and the government spokesperson, confirmed on Tuesday that the president will, of course, appear in Congress to account for the Ceuta migration crisis, but did not specify the date, stating that he does not control the executive head's agenda.
