A Facebook user, Mohd Nizam Abdul Jabar, has issued an apology to Hamzah Zainudin, the Leader of the Opposition, due to the dissemination of a message that could incite animosity and misconceptions about him. The apology comes after Nizam received a legal demand (LOD) from Tetuan Siddiq Azani & Co representing Hamzah early this morning.

The demand claims that he is responsible for ceasing the dissemination of the message and apologizing to Hamzah. Nizam expressed his remorse for the post that was later taken down, which contained statements that could lead to hatred and misunderstanding about him. According to his statement shared on Facebook, the message was based on posts from other social media accounts, but Nizam acknowledged his responsibility for the content he wrote and shared.

He also admitted that the information was not substantiated and stressed that he did not intend to tarnish anyone's reputation, dignity, or credibility. Nizam apologized sincerely, out of respect for the judicial process, and without wanting to draw any conclusions before the process is complete. He apologized to anyone who might be affected by the message.

Hamzah, in sharing his statement, characterized the previous message as a hateful comment related to the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) Tabung Haji.
