Facebook user Mohd Nizam Abdul Jabar has apologized to Hamzah Zainudin, the Opposition Leader, due to the dissemination of information related to the Royal Malaysian Intelligence (RCI) Tabung Haji, which he believes was based on unverified information. Nizam, whose Facebook account is under the name Nizam Jabar, made the apology after receiving a letter of demand (LOD) from Tetuan Siddiq Azani & Co, representing Hamzah, early this morning.

According to him, the LOD includes demands for him to cease the dissemination of the information and to apologize to Hamzah. In a statement shared on Facebook, Nizam sought forgiveness for the post he had previously removed, which contained statements that could incite hatred and misunderstanding towards him. He acknowledged that he remains responsible for the content he wrote and broadcasted, and that he takes full responsibility for the information's content.

Nizam also admitted that the information lacked proper verification and emphasized that he did not intend to tarnish anyone's reputation, image, or credibility. He made the apology with sincerity and respect for the judicial process, and to avoid drawing any conclusions that could prejudice the ongoing proceedings. Nizam, who does not belong to any political party including Bersatu, also apologized to any party affected or inconvenienced by the dissemination of the information.

When sharing his previous statement, Hamzah described the previous dissemination as a statement of hatred related to the RCI Tabung Haji.
