Penang police hunt missing Kafa teacher, 26, ahead of September wedding

GEORGE TOWN, Aug 26 — The police in Penang are making every effort to locate a missing 26-year-old male Kafa teacher, Mohamad Hijazi Zamry, who left his home in Sungai Ara on Saturday. Southwest District Police Chief ACP Anuwal Ab Wahab urged the public not to speculate or spread unverified information, requesting any leads to be channeled directly to the police.

Mohamad Hijazi, standing at 155cm tall and weighing 54kg, was last seen wearing an orange long-sleeved T-shirt and black long pants. His father, Zamri Saidin, revealed that his son was last seen riding a blue Yamaha LC motorcycle to perform the Isyak prayers at a nearby surau after a day of Isyak and Maghrib prayers with his family.

The son was scheduled to marry in September 2 after a year-long engagement. Meanwhile, in another case, South Seberang Perai District Police Chief Supt Jay January Siowou reported the disappearance of Nik Nursyazwani Aishah Jefri Arwan Shah, 15, from Nibong Tebal, whose whereabouts were unknown as of yesterday.
