Missing Penang Kafa teacher due to wed in September turns up in Kedah

GEORGE TOWN, Aug 26 — A male Quran and Fardu Ain (Kafa) teacher missing since Saturday was found safe in Kedah today. Barat Daya police chief ACP Anuwal Ab Wahab revealed that 26-year-old Mohamad Hijazi Zamri was located at a house in Kampung Bukit Payong, Pokok Sena, Kedah. The man was in good health and unharmed, and he was handed over to his family after checks at the Bayan Lepas police station.

The police thanked everyone who assisted in the search and cautioned against speculating or spreading unverified information. Mohamad Hijazi's father, Zamri Saidin, 53, was also grateful for the help and prayers from the public. The police found out that the teacher had asked his mother for permission to ride a blue Yamaha LC135 motorcycle to Surau Al-Muttaqin in Lilitan Sungai Ara but never returned home or could be reached by phone.
