SPRM teliti maklumat progam tanam semula sawit Felda Palong 7

The Monetary Commission, SPRM, is probing information received pertaining to the development and replanting program of oil palm at Felda Palong 7, Raja Alias region in Negeri Sembilan. According to a statement from SPRM, the information was obtained from the Chairman of the Palong Generation Corporation (Perbagi), Mohd Syahrizal Md Yusuf, in relation to concerns and queries about the quality of oil palm seedlings for the program in question.

The information pertains to a development program reportedly benefiting approximately 450 planters, including aspects such as training, delivery, storage, duration, and compliance with oil palm seedling specifications. SPRM takes note of the allegations and concerns raised and will investigate the information in question to determine if there are any elements related to wrongdoing under its jurisdiction, according to the statement.

SPRM also expresses concern over the request for a technical aspect pertaining to the quality and compliance of the seedlings to be examined by the relevant technical agency. SPRM states that any further action will be determined based on the findings of the investigation and the information obtained. On this day, Sinar Harian reported that a group of new Felda Palong 7 planters, led by Syahrizal, visited SPRM headquarters in Putrajaya to lodge a complaint and submit information on the relevant program.

Syahrizal stressed that the development and replanting of the oil palm project are estimated to cost between RM70 million and RM80 million. He urged SPRM to investigate matters related to the training of oil palm seedlings, the cost of training, transportation fees, and the execution of the replanting program in the relevant plan.
