Paul Afoko promises total discipline in NPP if elected National Chairman

Paul Afoko, the National Chairman candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has vowed to enforce strict discipline in the party upon his election. Speaking to Asempa FM, Afoko highlighted the importance of unity and restraint to enable the NPP to regain power. He stated that attacks on fellow party members would no longer be tolerated, emphasizing that the party is one big family.

Afoko outlined his vision for the party under the "three Rs" - reunite the party, re-energise its structures, and recapture political power. He believes that discipline is crucial for unification and effectiveness within the party, comparing a disciplined organization to one that effectively pulls together, while indiscipline creates disunity.

Afoko assured that party members are already aware of his disciplined approach, noting that he does not allow emotions to sway his decisions. If elected, Afoko promised to implement mechanisms for members to voice concerns internally, preventing public disputes that damage the party's image. He urged dissatisfied party members to address disagreements privately, rather than airing dirty laundry in public.

Afoko also expressed the need to reformulate the party's strategies to appeal to young people and recapture lost supporters, stating that unity must remain central to the party's efforts to work towards regaining governmental power in 2028.
