APM: Tinubu can’t boast of completing 250km roads across South West

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has criticized the Federal Government for excluding the Oyo State Governor and Presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, from the flag-off ceremony of the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode federal road project. APM National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf stated this in Abuja on Tuesday. Yusuf claimed that the current administration and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are anxious about Makinde's performance, as he has accomplished more road projects than President Bola Tinubu, who is from the southwest.

According to the APM, Makinde has executed over 360 kilometers of roads in Oyo state, with more lined up for completion in the future. In contrast, the present administration and President Tinubu have only managed to initiate, execute, and complete less than 250 kilometers of roads across the entire southwest since taking office in 2023, despite having substantial financial resources.

The party further noted that the APC is uneasy about Governor Makinde's leadership skills in uniting and mobilizing other governors, leaders, and stakeholders across the country on significant national issues. APM emphasized that their candidate is not bothered by the exclusion, as "APC and the Tinubu Presidency must confront Makinde in the January 2027 elections."
