Isu TH: Zahid mahu PAC siasat, Takiyuddin sokong RCI baharu

Zahid Hamidi has stated that the previous investigation report by the Tabung Haji Royal Commission (RCI) did not provide clear indications or accusations against any individual. In Kuala Lumpur, the Nearly State Revenue Fund (PAC) committee believes a new Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) is unnecessary and that the PAC can create a special committee to investigate the management of the Tabung Haji institution from 2017 onwards.

The Umno president believes that the PAC is better suited for conducting the inquiry due to their documented mandate and responsibility. After attending the National Consultative Forum 'Reality and Perception: Don't Politicize Tabung Haji', Zahid noted that the previous RCI report did not show any direct indications or allegations against any individual.

He emphasized that the PAC's inquiry is crucial to ensure any false accusation or misconduct is supported by facts and evidence. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Secretary of the National Unity (PN), Takiyuddin Hassan, who also attended the forum, agreed with the idea of creating a new RCI or bringing it to the PAC. He stated that further investigations are needed to examine the events occurring after the previous comprehensive investigation period, in addition to explaining the disagreements in some reports related to the management of TH.
