Isu TH: Zahid mahu PAC siasat, Takiyuddin sokong RCI baharu

Zahid Hamidi stated that the previous investigation into the Tabung Haji (TH) organization did not reveal any direct evidence or allegations against any individual. In Kuala Lumpur, the Kira-kira Wang Negara (PAC) sub-committee is better equipped to conduct an inquiry into TH management than to establish a new Royal Investigation Committee (RCI), according to Zahid Hamidi.

He proposed that PAC could form a specialized body under its authority to investigate TH management from 2017 to the present. The Deputy Prime Minister explained that the RCI's previous findings did not show any clear evidence or accusations against specific individuals. He emphasized that PAC's inquiry is crucial in ensuring any false accusations or misconduct is substantiated by facts and evidence.

Meanwhile, National Unity Minister Takiyuddin Hassan, also attending the forum, agreed that a new RCI should be created or brought before PAC. He stated that further investigation is needed to examine events occurring after the previous RCI's term, in addition to clarifying controversies in some findings related to TH management.

Hassan, who is also the Agong's Secretary of PAS, supported the suggestion of a participant that a new RCI should be established to investigate the current situation of TH from 2019 or 2018 onwards.
