Cisco expands rack-scale secure AI factory infrastructure for neocloud and sovereign clouds

Cisco Systems Inc. has announced an expansion to its rack-scale artificial intelligence solutions aimed at massive AI workloads in secure AI factories. The partnership with Super Micro Computer Inc. brings Nvidia Cloud Partner-compliant solutions for hyperscale, neocloud, and sovereign clouds. This new portfolio features Cisco's Silicon One-based switches at the front end and Nvidia Spectrum-X-based switches at the back end, unified under Nexus One, Cisco's networking management platform.

Cisco has also expanded its Enterprise Reference Architectures for rapid deployment of networking and rack-scale build-outs using Nvidia AI deployments with minimal risk. Liquid cooling is integrated into modern rack-scale systems, such as Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72, which can exceed 200 kilowatts per rack. This partnership ensures performance, reliability, and ease of management, with new Cisco Validated Services to certify infrastructure for enterprise environments.

Nvidia AI Enterprise software and AgentOps will be available through the Cisco Cloud Control backend, allowing customers to use their own tooling and utilities. The Supermicro compute solutions will be rolled out alongside Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia starting in October.
