JAMB Unveils O’Level Upload Online, Ends CBT Centre Visits

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has launched an online system enabling candidates to verify and upload their O'Level results from home, eliminating the need for visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. The new service, initially covering results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), is expected to reduce candidates' reliance on CBT centres, especially during peak times.

Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, explained that JAMB will electronically verify candidates' results with the relevant examination bodies before uploading them to their profiles. The system aims to make JAMB's services more convenient, efficient, and secure while addressing issues like misplaced or mixed-up certificates, unverified results, and manual errors.

Candidates will first obtain a verification code from the designated portal, log into their JAMB e-Facility dashboard, and then select the required subjects before applying their O'Level results. The board emphasized that this innovation is part of their customer-focused service delivery strategy under their new Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina, with technology being deployed to reduce physical visits, queues, and paperwork.
