He paved the way for many, Actress Toyosi Adesanya honours late actor Ogogo

Nollywood actress Toyosi Adesanya has paid tribute to her late mentor and veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo. Describing him as an epitome of simplicity and integrity, Adesanya said he trained many actors and paved the way for many practitioners in the Nigerian film industry. The veteran, who passed away at the age of 66 on Sunday, had been battling stage-four cancer.

Adesanya, who began her training under Ogogo in 1994, recalled the rigorous training sessions at Odumfa Caucus, mentioning that her boss treated everyone like his own children. She expressed devastation upon hearing about his health condition and subsequent death, stating that she spoke with his daughters, Kaira and Lolade Rashidats.

Ogogo, known for his contributions to Yoruba-language films, had a career spanning over four decades and was a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry.
