Drones hit three Ozon logistics centers in southern Russia and North Caucasus

Drones targeted three major Ozon logistics centers in southern Russia and the North Caucasus overnight on August 23, according to local authorities. The strike initially hit an Ozon warehouse in Krasnodar, followed by additional unmanned aerial vehicle assaults on two more regional hubs in Stavropol Krai and Dagestan. In Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Krai, a drone attack targeted an Ozon fulfillment center, with the air defense units reporting an aerial assault on the city's industrial zone.

Another Ozon logistics complex was struck within the Tyube Industrial Park in the Republic of Dagestan, a facility covering approximately 130,000 square meters (1.4 million square feet) that plays a critical role in Ozon's operations in the North Caucasus. This hub processes high volumes of commercial merchandise and consumer orders and serves as a regional transshipment point for international freight routes toward Azerbaijan and Iran along the North-South International Transport Corridor.

At least three Ozon warehousing and fulfillment facilities were struck across the three Russian federal subjects, causing temporary shutdowns and disrupting ongoing operations. Ozon removed goods from the damaged hubs' online storefronts, canceled pending orders scheduled for fulfillment, and suspended vendor intake deliveries. Logistics networks rerouted freight to alternative Ozon fulfillment centers.

This marks the first time Ukrainian strike drones targeted an Ozon facility, sparking a major fire in Samara Oblast.
