Australia’s Victoria University Delhi Campus To Offer STEM, Management And Global Learning Opportunities

Victoria University’s new Delhi campus will offer a range of STEM, management and global learning opportunities to Indian students. Monty Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global) and Chief International Officer, explained that the university aims to bring its Australian academic model, Block Model pedagogy and globally recognised programmes to India.

The campus will closely align with the National Education Policy and demand for skills in India, offering undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programmes as well as research qualifications, including Master of Research and PhD degrees.

One of the key features of the Delhi campus is the Block Model pedagogy, which provides a different approach to teaching and learning. Instead of large lecture theatres, the campus will feature modern, flexible spaces and smaller rooms connected through digital technologies, allowing students to interact and access learning resources in a more flexible way. Monty Singh also highlighted the university's strong ties with the Indian community and how they have been instrumental in establishing the Delhi campus.

The institution is offering several undergraduate programmes, including a Bachelor of Business with majors in Business Analytics, Banking and Finance, and Innovation and Technologies. For postgraduate studies, Victoria University will offer an MBA with a focus on global engagement and a Master of Information Technology. Monty Singh announced the availability of scholarships, including the Victoria University Block Model Scholarship, which is merit-based and offers 10%, 20% or 30% of annual tuition fees based on academic credentials. The university also provides continuing scholarships that are performance-based and renewable.

To ensure the Delhi campus maintains academic standards, Monty Singh emphasized that the courses offered at the Indian campus are the same as those at the Melbourne campus, with the same professional recognition. The governance, quality assurance processes, learning management system, and student management system will also be aligned between the two campuses, ensuring students receive a consistent experience in both locations.

Students have the flexibility to study semesters or blocks in Melbourne, provided they complete their first year at the Delhi campus. Scholarship holders can continue to use their scholarships while studying a semester or block in Melbourne. The presence of both Indian and Melbourne students at the Delhi campus will create a diverse and international learning environment.
