Canara Vidya Jyoti Scholarship Distributed to Meritorious Girl Students

Canara Bank, based in Mumbai, recently presented Canara Vidya Jyoti Scholarships to outstanding female students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes backgrounds at its Circle Office. The event was attended by CGM Ranjeev Kumar and Mr. Rajesh T Pali, an IRS Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, in support of the bank's ongoing mission to advance education and empower deserving students.

The scholarship program intends to offer financial assistance to academically exceptional female students, allowing them to pursue higher education without financial burdens. This year, the Mumbai Circle extended scholarships to 384 students across 64 branches, amounting to a total of ₹15.36 lakh in scholarships. Additionally, 80 students, 30 teachers, and parents participated in the scholarship ceremony, along with the distribution of 100 school bags containing water bottles to the recipients.

This initiative underscores Canara Bank's dedication to inclusive growth, educational empowerment, and social responsibility. The scholarships were bestowed upon the students in acknowledgment of their academic achievements and commitment to education. The program underscored the significance of providing equitable opportunities to students from underprivileged socio-economic circumstances.

At the event, representatives from the Circle Office commended the efforts and accomplishments of the students, urging them to maintain their pursuit of excellence.
