KP CM Afridi raises concerns over Imran Khan’s health

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has raised significant concerns over the official medical report regarding the health of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. At a press conference, Afridi called for meetings with Imran Khan’s family, legal team, and personal doctors to determine a course of action. He insisted that the elevated blood pressure reported in the official medical report contradicts the consistent normal readings his personal doctors, Dr Asim and Dr Faisal, have recorded.

Afridi criticized the government for denying Imran Khan’s family, lawyers, and personal physicians the opportunity to meet him since December 2, 2025, stating that this lack of access has heightened public concern. He emphasized that Imran Khan, a sportsman with a physically active past, was in excellent health when taken into custody, but the current health issues emerged during his confinement.

Afridi appealed to the judiciary to allow these critical meetings and ensure Imran Khan receives treatment at the best available hospital under supervision by his personal doctors and family members. Meanwhile, Tehreek-i-Tahaffuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) leaders held their own press conference, blaming the current government for economic and political failures, alleging fabricated cases against Imran Khan, and demanding free and fair elections.
