KP CM Afridi raises concerns over Imran Khan’s health

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has expressed deep concern over the official medical report regarding Imran Khan's health. He stated that the reported condition had caused widespread concern across the country. Afridi emphasized that a meeting among Imran Khan's personal doctors, family, legal team, and PTI leadership would determine a clear course of action.

He noted that Imran Khan's blood pressure had been consistently within the normal range during checks by his personal physicians Dr Asim and Dr Faisal, contradicting the official report of elevated blood pressure. Afridi questioned the lack of access for Imran Khan's family, lawyers, and personal doctors since December 2, 2025, and highlighted the emergence of health concerns during Imran Khan's incarceration.

He reminded the public that the judiciary was the last hope for 250 million people, and asked why ordinary citizens could have no confidence in the justice system if a former prime minister and the leader of the largest political party faced health issues without proper support. Afridi called for the restoration of meetings between Imran Khan and his lawyers and family members, access for personal physicians, and treatment at the best available hospital under the supervision of his doctors.

Meanwhile, leaders of Tehreek-i-Tahaffuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) held a press conference, criticizing the incumbent government's policies and claiming all cases against Imran Khan were fabricated. They demanded free and fair elections, pointing out the government's lack of a mandate and accusing both the media and judiciary of remaining silent.
