Brekusu chief appeals to Mahama over deplorable Katesi-Brekusu-Dome-Kwabenya road

Nana Oteng Krankye II, chief of Brekusu, has urged President John Mahama and the Minister of Roads to take swift action on the poor state of the Katesi-Brekusu-Dome-Kwabenya road. The chief highlighted the excessive dust generated by traffic as a health hazard for the community and the impact on vehicles, leading to regular damage.

Residents have expressed their dissatisfaction with the road's poor condition, demanding immediate intervention to alleviate their difficulties. In response to a petition presented by local leaders, including Nana Odei Leebi, the Members of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya and Akuapem have allegedly ignored it, a move received with disappointment from the community.

The leaders, through a demonstration, criticized the MPs for their lack of response, calling it disrespectful to the residents' concerns. They are now urging the government to prioritize fixing the road, citing its severe burden on residents, motorists, and businesses. The traditional leaders stressed the need for urgent action to safeguard the health of residents, minimize vehicle damage, and enhance transportation within the communities.
