Berekuso chief appeals to Mahama over deplorable Katesi-Berekuso-Dome-Kwabenya road

Berekuso's chief, Nana Oteng Krankye II, has implored President John Mahama and the Roads Minister to swiftly address the dire state of the Katesi-Berekuso-Dome-Kwabenya highway. The chief asserts that the road's poor condition has become a significant issue for locals and drivers alike, primarily due to the alarming amount of dust produced by passing vehicles.

This dust not only raises health concerns for residents but also contributes to extensive vehicle damage, Nana Oteng Krankye II explained. The chief's plea emerges as residents grow increasingly exasperated, demanding decisive action to enhance the road and alleviate the hardships endured by commuters.

Meanwhile, Nana Kwadwo Sarpong, Tipon Kwadwo Kromhene and Committee Member, along with Nana Odei Leebi, Berekuso Asona Gyasihene and Apesemakahene, expressed their dissatisfaction with the Members of Parliament representing Dome-Kwabenya and Akuapem for not responding to their petition. During a demonstration against the substandard road, the traditional leaders contended that the MPs' failure to receive their petition was a sign of disrespect towards the community and its valid concerns.

Consequently, they are urging the government and relevant authorities to take immediate action to rectify the road, which they deem a significant burden on residents, motorists, and businesses in the region. The traditional leaders firmly believe that the road necessitates urgent attention to safeguard residents' health, minimize vehicle wear and tear, and enhance transportation efficiency within the communities.
