Three men arrested over alleged assault; threats linked to illegal parking fee collection in OUG

Three men, aged between 20 and 26, have been apprehended in connection with an alleged assault and threats against a woman near the OUG Community Hall in Kuala Lumpur. According to Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus, the incident occurred on Saturday when a 38-year-old local woman reported that she was confronted by the suspects at the location.

One of the suspects allegedly made abusive remarks and punched the complainant in the head, threatening her with further assault and trouble at her workplace. Fadil stated that all three suspects had prior criminal records. The first suspect was remanded for three days pending Aug 18, while the other two were remanded for one day to aid investigations under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and Section 323 for causing hurt.

The police have vowed to continue enforcing the law to ensure public safety and maintain order. The case gained attention on TikTok, where Seputeh MP Teresa Kok shared footage allegedly depicting the assault.
