Three killed as Russia launches fresh aerial attacks across Ukraine

In Ukraine, at least three lives were lost and over ten individuals were injured in a fresh series of Russian aerial assaults, according to officials. A market in the nation's capital, Kyiv, found itself engulfed in flames following a missile and drone attack overnight. Ukraine claimed success in shooting down three Russian missiles and almost 100 drones, while Moscow's mayor reported approximately 600 Ukrainian drones targeting the city during the night.

A warehouse operated by the online retailer Wildberries, situated 25km from Moscow, was targeted in the Russian assault, with a fire and substantial smoke plume visible in accompanying videos. Russia has ramped up its aerial attacks in Ukraine over the past weeks, as Kyiv escalates its focus on Russian logistics centers to hamper supply chains.

Kyiv has witnessed four air-raid sirens ringing since Saturday night, with Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirming that at least six people, including a child, sustained injuries during the escalation. In southern Zaporizhzhia, two fatalities and a house destruction were reported when a Russian-guided aerial bomb struck a residence. Dnipropetrovsk officials also disclosed a single casualty and 14 injuries stemming from Russian aggression.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin revealed that three individuals were hurt in a Ukrainian missile attack on his city. He added that about one-third of the Ukrainian drones launched at Kyiv were neutralized by Russian defenses. Wildberries, a prominent Russian equivalent of Amazon, faced multiple hits from Ukrainian forces since July, with the latest attack hitting a warehouse in Koledino, near Moscow's center.
