General Staff: Russia has lost 1,467,320 troops in Ukraine since Feb. 24, 2022

According to the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces, Russia has suffered a staggering 1,467,320 casualties in Ukraine since the country's full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022. This figure encompasses 1,510 Russian deaths reported in the last day alone. In addition to human losses, Russia has been decimated in terms of military hardware, losing over 12,270 tanks, 25,151 armored combat vehicles, and 134,851 vehicles and fuel tanks.

The scale of the damage extends to 47,007 artillery systems, 2,034 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,570 air defense systems. Russia's military also lost 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 463,404 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 2,257 unmanned ground systems. The report does not specify the extent of Ukraine's own casualties, citing operational secrecy.

However, independent Western analyses, such as the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), estimate that Russia's casualties are significantly higher, with the ratio potentially being 2.5:1 or 2:1.
