Tengku Zafrul: Reform struggle must deliver tangible results for people

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 - Prime Minister's Senior Political Advisor, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, emphasized that the reform struggle must yield visible and tangible results for the people. Despite various initiatives implemented by the Madani government, more effort is required to ensure the benefits reach all sectors of society.

Prime Minister's Senior Political Advisor noted that while the economy grew by six percent, surpassing forecasts, it is crucial to ensure the populace reaps the rewards. During the 2026 PKR National Congress in Melaka, the debate sessions largely aligned with the tone and core message of PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's policy speech.

Tengku Zafrul stressed the importance of enhancing communication efforts to inform citizens about the government's various initiatives and achievements. He pointed out that the long list of initiatives and accomplishments shared by the President should be effectively communicated to the people; otherwise, the government's delivery shortcomings are to blame.

Tengku Zafrul highlighted that topics such as the abolition of the Universities and University Colleges Act, rehabilitation of critical public institutions like the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA), and economic initiatives in the upcoming budget, showcased the Madani Government, particularly PKR's, commitment to recognizing that the struggle for the people is far from over.

He expressed confidence that with this approach, improved working mechanisms, and party solidarity, they will be able to win the people's trust to continue implementing fresh agendas for the sake of the people.
