Tengku Zafrul: Reform struggle must deliver tangible results for people

Tengku Zafrul, Senior Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, emphasized that the reform struggle must yield tangible results for the people, stating that while the Madani government has implemented various initiatives, more effort is required to ensure these benefits reach all citizens. He highlighted that despite an impressive six percent economic growth, surpassing all forecasts, it is crucial to ensure that this prosperity translates into tangible benefits for the populace.

Tengku Zafrul pointed out that during the 2026 PKR National Congress in Melaka, the debate sessions aligned with the tone and core message of PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's policy speech. He also stressed the need to enhance communication efforts to inform the public about the initiatives and achievements of the Madani Government.

Tengku Zafrul pointed out that although the list of such initiatives and achievements is extensive, there remains a significant communication gap, stressing that if the people are unaware, it is due to the government's delivery shortcomings. Among the matters discussed by Anwar included the abolition of the Universities and University Colleges Act, efforts to rehabilitate critical public institutions like FELDA, and several economic initiatives slated for the upcoming budget.

Tengku Zafrul expressed confidence that with improved working mechanisms, party solidarity, and a renewed focus on listening and strengthening party machinery, the Madani Government, and especially PKR, would be able to earn the trust of the people and implement fresh agendas for their benefit.
