India: Modi Promises Exam Coaching, AI Training for Youth

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made promises on India's Independence Day to provide free online coaching for competitive exams and AI training to 10 million young people in the country. These initiatives aim to alleviate the financial burden on middle-class families, who often struggle with coaching class expenses. The announcements came shortly after youth-led protests over alleged irregularities in competitive exams and recruitment.

The protests culminated in Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, indicating widespread concerns about education and job access. Additionally, Modi announced plans for eight semiconductor chip plants and five nuclear reactors to generate 100 gigawatts of power by 2047, contributing to India's development over the next two decades.

In his speech, Modi also addressed the "intellectual Naxals," referring to those who oppose the government and sought to disrupt the nation. He emphasized the importance of identifying and isolating these individuals to channel young people towards mainstream opportunities.
