Kamil Munim, the Deputy Chairman of the Youth Wing of the PKR party, emphasized that while public support for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is "good", the party's victory in upcoming elections is dependent on their continued efforts in the districts. Speaking at the PKR 2026 Congress in the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), he highlighted that the political system is based on representation and requires members and party cadres to serve the people in each district and branch to earn their trust and support.

Munim stressed that the current political system demands that party members serve the public in each district and branch, earning their trust and support. He stated this during the PKR 2026 Congress at the Melaka International Trade Centre. Munim stressed that victory in key districts is crucial to ensure Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the party's president, can remain as Prime Minister for a second term.

"It is in these districts that our victory will determine and ensure the continuity of our president for a second term," he said.

He urged PKR to learn from past defeats and improve the readiness of the party's youth in preparation for the upcoming elections. Munim also stressed that the reform agenda requires patience and must be carried out consistently and wisely. "Reform requires patience. Reform must be consistent, and when the time is right, the reform will continue to be carried out by us," he said. "We have shown in the past three years that the country can be governed well if we have competent leaders."
