Ramanan: PTPK financing may be converted from loans to grants

MELAKA, Aug 16 — The Ministry of Human Resources is requesting feedback from other ministries on its proposal to change Skills Development Fund Corporation financing from loans to grants, according to Minister Datuk Seri R Ramanan. The current funding amounts to RM100 million, but it must be obtained as loans. Ramanan stated that this proposal, which is currently in its first draft, will be presented to the Cabinet for consideration after gathering views and making necessary improvements.

The initiative aims to alleviate the financial strain faced by students pursuing Technical and Vocational Education and Training programs after completing their studies.
