Asyraf Wajdi suspends MARA staff after eight students allege sexual harassment misconduct

MARA chairman Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has suspended a staff member at a MARA educational institution following allegations of sexual harassment involving at least eight students. The decision was made to allow a comprehensive investigation to take place without any interference from the involved parties. The allegations were brought to light after students directly messaged Dr Wajdi, claiming to be victims of the misconduct.

Dr Wajdi urged the students to file a police report, as the matter is a criminal one, but expressed surprise at their preference to complain to him directly. MARA firmly stated that it would not tolerate any form of misconduct and assured that no cases would be silenced or covered up to protect the institution's reputation. The chairman emphasized that the institution would take stern action, including dismissal, against those involved in such misconduct, and encouraged anyone to report any such incidents without fear.
