Mumbai: A 50-year-old Raymond Ltd manager, Sachin Dhumal, sustained a severe head injury after an alleged road-rage incident on Thursday morning, according to local police. The confrontation occurred on the Eastern Express Highway in Ghatkopar East when the pickup driver, Rakeshkumar Shrivastav, 35, allegedly struck Dhumal's car with a wooden stick during the altercation.
The incident began when Shrivastav allegedly brushed Dhumal's Volkswagen Taigun while overtaking from the left, causing Dhumal to drive slowly due to heavy traffic. Upon reaching the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar bridge, Shrivastav allegedly continued to follow Dhumal, honking and refusing to let him pass.
