Anwar pilih terus kerjasama dengan Umno, BN demi kestabilan

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that he continues to choose to work alongside Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) in a coalition government to ensure political stability and the prosperity of the people. This decision is based on the interests of the nation and its citizens, rather than any personal animosity or anger. Anwar noted that this stance is made with the best interests of the people and the country in mind, and he is willing to engage in dialogue with BN and Umno to address any differences.

Anwar's choice to maintain cooperation with BN and Umno is in response to recent political decisions that tested the partnership between BN and Pakatan Harapan (PH) during the two recent state elections. In the 2018 Negeri Sembilan election, BN formed a coalition with Perikatan Nasional (PN) to oppose PH in 36 seats. Some BN and PN leaders also indicated a possibility of extending this cooperation to the upcoming 2026 general election and the 2021 general election.

When discussing further, Anwar stressed that any future political cooperation with BN and Umno must be made cautiously, with wisdom and discernment. He reiterated that a coalition government cannot be formed without a clear understanding of the importance of political stability and national love. Anwar also highlighted his long-standing positive relationship with Umno President Zahid Hamidi, stating that any disagreements can be discussed amicably.

At present, he has not faced any truly opposing views at the federal level. At the state level, only the central government is aware of this situation.
