Who is Cami Clark? Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei’s wife approached Jeffrey Epstein to fund porn venture

Cami Clark, the wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, has gained attention after emails in the Jeffrey Epstein files revealed she approached the convicted financier about funding a porn business venture over a decade ago. Clark has maintained a low profile despite her close connections to influential figures in Silicon Valley. A new investigation by The Wall Street Journal detailed her career, relationship with Amodei, and her influence around Anthropic.

Clark is an entrepreneur who married Amodei in 2022 and met him in 2014 when he was a researcher. Before her relationship with Amodei, Clark dated former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, who became an early investor in Anthropic after being introduced to Amodei by Clark. Clark pursued various business ventures, including one in women's health and technology, and launched a venture called Eddice, which produced adult entertainment content.

She contacted Jeffrey Epstein in 2011 through literary agent John Brockman and discussed her business ideas with him. Epstein was willing to consider some of her proposals but ultimately declined to invest due to his discomfort with "sex TV." Clark's correspondence with Epstein does not suggest she participated in his criminal activities. The Epstein files have brought renewed focus on Clark as Anthropic prepares for a potential IPO.
