Udi Monarchs Commend Sen. Ngwu for Contribution to Completion of 9th Mile-Ugwu Onyeama-Enugu Dual Carriageway

The Monarchs of Udi Local Government Area have lauded Senator Osita Ngwu for his significant role in the completion of the 9th Mile–Ugwu Onyeama–Enugu Double Carriageway. In a joint letter dated August 6, 2026, the Traditional Rulers Council, led by HRM Justice F. Ken Ezeike (Rtd) and Secretary HRH Igwe Uche A. Alugwu, expressed their appreciation to the Senator for his contribution to the project.

The completion of the two-lane road has improved traffic flow and made travel safer and easier for motorists and other road users. This significant improvement addresses the hazardous conditions that had previously led to accidents and loss of life on the stretch of road. The monarchs praised Senator Ngwu for his "gallant and constructive presentations" in the Senate, acknowledging that his performance justified their decision to elect him as their representative in the Red Chambers.

They affirmed that his representation in the Enugu West Senatorial Zone has effectively addressed the needs and concerns of his constituents. The Council further commended Ngwu for respecting and recognizing traditional institutions, particularly his high regard for the royal fathers of Udi Local Government Area. They emphasized that his efforts on the road project, along with his legislative interventions, demonstrate his commitment to improving the welfare, safety, and economic activities of the people he represents.

The endorsement of the Council's letter by the Chairman, Secretary, and 33 other traditional rulers and members confirms their collective appreciation for Senator Ngwu's efforts.
