The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has unveiled the NEET MDS counselling schedule for 2026, providing crucial dates and processes for dental postgraduate courses. Candidates who cleared the NEET MDS 2026 exam can now access the full round-wise schedule on the official website, mcc.nic.in. The counselling process will encompass 50% All India Quota seats and 100% seats from Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and AFMS for MDS programs.

The counselling journey unfolds through three regular rounds followed by an online stray vacancy round. MCC will enforce stringent deadlines for registration, fee payment, choice filling, and seat allotment. The first AIQ admission round commences on August 18 and concludes on September 1, with joining deadlines on September 1 and September 18 respectively.

State counselling will be overseen by respective state authorities, thus candidates must verify their state-specific notices. MDS academic sessions are slated to begin on September 17, 2026. MCC has stressed on participating colleges to function on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays to expedite the counselling process.

To apply, candidates must follow a set of eight steps on the MCC website, including registration, fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting. It is vital to adhere to the prescribed deadlines and possess required documents such as NEET MDS scorecard, admit card, BDS degree, internship completion certificate, dental registration certificate, and relevant academic certificates.
