Britain's Finlay Tarling dies in Volta a Portugal accident

British teenage cyclist Finlay Tarling has died tragically at the age of 19 after sustaining injuries in an accident during the eighth stage of the Volta a Portugal. The incident occurred when Tarling collided with a light goods vehicle on a 166.8km route from Melgaco to Fafe. Welshman Tarling, a member of the NSN Development Team, was competing for the team during the event.

NSN released a heartfelt statement expressing their deep sorrow over the loss of their teammate, describing him as a much-loved son, brother, and friend. The incident has deeply shaken the cycling community, with race organizers, the Portuguese Cycling Federation, and even the President of Portugal expressing their condolences.
