The company asserts that a report on GTV alleging illegal mining is false, misleading, and defamatory. The firm claims the alleged footage was actually from Atiwa Forest and misrepresented as occurring in Gwira Banso.

Betterland emphasizes it is engaged in lawful exploration activities under a valid Mining License, conducted daily under the supervision of Forestry Commission officials. The company has called for a full retraction and apology from GTV and the broadcaster responsible for the broadcast.
