Palestinian American family recounts siege of West Bank home by Israeli settlers

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers laid siege to the home of Palestinian American family Qusai and Ahmed Ridi, sparking international condemnation. Upon hearing of the incident, Loui Ridi, Qusai's brother, expressed concern as he witnessed his brother and his son trapped by settlers. Initially, the Israeli military visited the family, attended a prayer ceremony with the settlers, and celebrated with them before doing nothing to assist the family.

The Ridi family is now cut off from supplies and can only use solar power to keep their home lit. Ahmed Ridi, speaking through an interpreter, described the family's desperate situation, stating they have limited food, no medicine, and are in constant fear of potential attacks. The U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, criticized the settlers, calling them terrorists.

However, Loui Ridi emphasized that while the ambassador's statement is important, action is needed to remove the settlers permanently and protect the family from further violence.
