Mnet-born rock band Splayit turns survival show run into debut album

Splayit, a five-piece K-rock group created through the global band-making survival show Steal Heart Club, debuted their self-titled album Thursday, entering a local rock scene that has been steadily welcoming new groups. The band features vocalist Yoonchan, drummer Eunbin, keyboardist and sub-vocalist Kyunguk, guitarist Aydn, and bassist Eunchan. Their name is a fusion of "splay" and "play it," reflecting their goal of showcasing each member's unique qualities through their music.

Just before the release of their debut album at 6 p.m., the band made their first official appearance on stage at Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul's Gangnam District. There, they performed their new music and discussed their debut. Yoonchan expressed his excitement about the journey the band had embarked on, stating that they felt their journey together would be enjoyable.

He praised the concept of their debut and the strong synergy among the members. Eunchan noted that the band's name perfectly encapsulated their music and the ambitious direction they aimed to take. Aydn had also been pleased with the name even before it was officially chosen, as he felt it aligned with the band's musical style and their goals.
