India may go left, left and left in Galle

India may field three left-arm spinners in the upcoming Test against Sri Lanka in Galle. Bowling coach Morne Morkel revealed that Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Manav Suthar offer different skills and can create an attacking bowling combination. Kuldeep specializes in left-arm wrist spin, Jadeja relies on accuracy, while Suthar employs a more traditional left-arm spin.

Morkel stated that each bowler brings something unique to the attack. Kuldeep's experience and class are invaluable, while Jadeja's accuracy could prove crucial. Suthar's style could add an element of surprise to the mix. Morkel emphasized that the decision on which bowlers to use will depend on how Gill manages the attack throughout the Test.

The Galle pitch is expected to favor spinners as the match progresses. Traditionally, the venue has produced favorable conditions for spin bowlers, making the decision to field three spinners a viable option. Morkel added that the conditions are likely to become more conducive to spin as the Test unfolds.

India is also yet to decide on their second seamer alongside Mohammed Siraj. The choice between Gurnoor Brar and Prasidh Krishna, both of whom have limited Test experience, will be based on their ability to cope with the challenging heat and humidity. Morkel believes either player would be ready if selected, as they have faced tough bowling conditions in home environments.
