Allianz Insurance Singapore Renames Cyber Protection Product to Allianz Scam Protect

Allianz Insurance Singapore has renamed its personal cyber insurance product from Allianz Cyber360 Protect to Allianz Scam Protect. This change was made to better reflect what the product does: protect Singaporeans financially when they fall victim to scams. The company cites several recent examples of scams targeting Singaporeans, including SMS messages pretending to be from a government transport agency and phishing messages impersonating a delivery service.

In the first three months of 2026, more than 7,800 scam cases were reported in Singapore, resulting in losses exceeding S$144.4 million. Since 2019, Singaporeans have lost more than S$4 billion to scams. The new name ensures that people searching for protection against scams can easily find the product, as the name aligns with the way Singaporeans actually speak about these incidents.

Allianz Scam Protect covers financial losses from various types of scams, including phishing, smishing, stolen payment credentials, and unauthorised transactions, as well as online shopping disputes involving undelivered, damaged, or incorrect items. The coverage remains the same, but the new name now accurately conveys what the product offers.

Existing policyholders will see the updated name at their next renewal without needing to take any action. Allianz Scam Protect is available for a monthly premium starting at S$8.91 and can be purchased through Allianz's website or authorized distribution partners.
