Socso incentive claims land four Melaka company directors in court

Melaka — Four company directors were brought before the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court today, charged with submitting false information to Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) agents to deceive them two years ago. The accused, Henry Ratnaike, 45, of Alpha Buildcon, and Koh Kai Loon, 40, of PK Tan Auto and Car Repair, both pleaded not guilty.

Gan Pay Kiat, 32, of Prima Kerjaya Trading, and Ling Yate May, 58, also pleaded not guilty. The four directors are accused of providing false Daya Kerjaya 2.0 Employee Verification Forms to Perkeso agents to defraud the agency. If found guilty, they could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of RM150,000 or five times the monetary value of the false information, whichever is greater.

The MACC Deputy Public Prosecutor, Sharina Farhana Nor Sa'ari, set bail at RM15,000 for each accused, with additional conditions including surrendering passports to the court and monthly attendance at the nearest MACC office until the case is resolved. The next court appearance is scheduled for September 14.
